What's really important to you?

And what if the question was first: " what's a garden for?" . Long, quiet siestas with a good book by your pool? Practising your gardening skills, summer and winter alike? Enjoy the wild and bucolic countryside? Install a fully-equipped veranda for barbecues and evenings out with friends? Or transform it into a sports course?

What if the question was first: "What do I really want? " . Let's take a look at the possibilities:

  • The amount of time you agree to devote to its design and upkeep A vegetable garden to watch your little cuttings grow, perfect mowing to make your neighbour jealous, flower care to please your other half, fruit trees for tasty homemade jams, and even a greenhouse if you don't want to put little scarves on your protĂ©gĂ©s!
  • The composition of your family : happy bachelor always on the move, small couple cocoonYou've got your children, who you sometimes have to tire out outside, your pets, who you like to see frolicking around, and so on.
  • Your favourite leisure activities Your dream: a swimming pool all to yourself, a fitness trail and/or a chalet designed to keep you in shape, a barbecue and/or wood-fired pizza oven to share with family and friends, etc.
  • Your inner nature and your needs rest and more rest, reconnecting with your roots
  • The location of your garden : in the city, in the country and its surface area

And also the budget, not that you have available, but that you are willing to spend on it!

Does your garden design make you dream or not? Does it nibble away at your thoughts? If so, by putting off other hobbies and/or redoubling your energy and inventiveness, you'll find the resources you need to get it just the way you want it!

I'd also like to invite you to do the same to boost your business projects. To increase your sales, your profitability and your lead over your competitors. There's no secret about it: you need to increase the online visibility of your company, your business, your products or services. Then again, what good is all the energy you put into doing a good job if nobody knows about it?

Your visibility, yes, but not just any old way!

Ask yourself: what are you prepared to devote in terms of availability, time, personal investment and/or that of your employees, and financial resources? On a one-off basis or over the long term, to increase the appeal of your products and/or services and achieve :

  • more time saved by digitising customer requests
  • more requests for quotes
  • more in-store visits
  • more online sales, etc.

So what do you really want? A shoddy garden, just a pretty face? Although, accessories with no guarantee, a new MacGiver role for you at home?

You can choose the means to achieve your goals, so set your sights on the Garden of Versailles!

You'll have noticed that short lists are a favourite recipe of mine.

Why do you ask? Simply because your promotional strategy is digital, to be a long-term success.. It's not going to be a sprint, but a marathon, with all the benefits that can bring!

So let's go back to your motivations and think about them together:

What is the repetitive task that annoys you to no end and costs you a lot of time for nothing?

  • Double or even triple encoding of the same data, as the programmes do not appear to be compatible. Are you quite sure?
  • Repeating the same answers to the same questions from your prospects and customers?
  • The difficulty of explaining technical information orally, which wastes precious time and patience!

How much time do you spend gathering the information needed to draw up a service offer?

  • Your prospect is decidedly evasive about his request, but have you given him the opportunity to be explicit with targeted questions?
  • You're worried about wasting time, because you're not sure you'll understand what they're writing, but have you given them the opportunity and motivation to upload visuals, photos and a small diagram of the site?
  • You're wondering whether the application is realBut have you put in place a process that requires a minimum of investment on the part of your prospect: taking estimated measurements, full contact details, technical information on the appliance to be replaced, etc.?

Digitalising your SME does not require you to change all your processes at once by applying a single, universal recipe applicable to everyone!

To be successful, the digitalisation of your SME will need to be gradual, starting with a host of small mechanisms that adapt to your business and not the other way round! These will save you time and increase your profitability as you implement them. Your motivation to keep going will automatically be fuelled by the fruits of your labour. each step. And you'll always want more!

My advice Before embarking on a huge project that could paralyse you or, worse still, demotivate you completely, aim for a multitude of small victories. Start digitising your SME with your website, your online shop and your intranet.

Small streams really do make big rivers, and the figures back that up!
